Ix is one of many high ranking Magi within the Zanatorian machine cult charged with maintaining all of the wargear entrusted to them as well as researching towards creating more powerful machines as well as the Zanatorians’ prime directive the evolution of mankind. However when the 5th Zanatorian Knight Damien and his warband were destroyed, Ix was entrusted with the task to find a successor that would take up his position with him at his side.

Ix searched throughout space and came across the outlaw Proiteus Kruger who he hired for a mission to test his skills at first Proiteus refused the offer but was later ambushed later that day and Ix used his technology to save Proiteus’ live and made the offer again. Proiteus accepted this time his mind clearly changed by his recent experience and the two returned to the homeworld of Draconis

Since then Ix has remained at Proiteus’ side being one of the only people Proiteus truly trusts. Ix also monitors Proiteus throughout his missions and uses his vast knowledge to assist him from the ship; he also maintains all of the wargear, vehicles and robots on the ship.
