I had the same problem with yellow on my Wolves, you never seem to get a good cover. I did find that if I put a glossy clear coat over the yellow that it looks better. Not the best photo to see the yellow, but you see it looks more even [link]

I have and old school Necron Army. It's made up of only the original metal figures. It has no heavy support units, just the original raiding force idea. These original Necrons were what got me into 40K.

There was a HOLE here, it's gone now.

Here's an idea I saw done very well once with necrons. Paint the parts that are currently white with several thinned down coats of skull white to avoid the chunky and spotty look, and then once you have done that put about 2-4 coats of gloss varnish over those specific parts of the model. The resulting effect makes the models look perfectly smooth as though the white parts are just a solid piece of white material and not just like something painted white.

Oh, and this is 1500% (measured it) better than the earlier versions, although so far you have had to use the parts to 1 terminator, 1 vintage imperial robot from ebay, 1 stealth suit, 2 necron warriors, and 1 guardsman. So each of these probably costs at least $15. I'm all for super awesome yet expensive conversions (Each merric costs $100 for parts alone...) but damn these are steep.

Oh, and what did you use for the "hands", it looks like half a space marine bike tire but I'm not sure.

In terms of StarWars, based on the iron guard and the dragoons' coolness (not just the firepower):
The Iron Guard is like the battle droid,
The Dragoon is like the Super battle droid!

I think the white on dark bluish color scheme is to flagrant. Esp the cyclops head piece is just out of place and it being white exacerbates the problem.

I was worried about that, what would you suggest then?
