Mechanicus Dreadnought by Proiteus Mechanicus Dreadnought by Proiteus
Taking a break from my Mechanicus and Undead armies, here's a conversion I made way back for an Inquisitor Campaign: [link] But when my local GW annonced a 'Robot Wars' tournament (walker v walker) with a knight titan representing killalot I rebuild him as a mechanicus robot.

I've been meaning to upload this for a while now.

Is that a flux capacitor on his back?

Where he's going, does he not need roads?

i like the design overall, but my only complaint is that the legs look a bit detached from the rest of it and unfitting, what i would suggest doing about it is adding some pistons or other type of locomotive device to the upper mid section of the leg and attach it to the body's undercarriage. it would bulk up the legs a bit and make them seem much more fitting :D aside from that i love the "eyes" on it and i look forward to seeing more on this mechanicus army.

Sadly this was a model from a few years ago and has been given a new owner. I have considered reusing the concept for imperial robots for my dreads in my upcoming pre-heresy thousand son army.

Awesome conversion man! What pieces did you use to make the shoulder pads? Also, I'm just guessing, but are those Sentinel legs?

Oooh, that's a pretty one... :D

I'm at the moment putting together a Mechanicus Dreadnought, too. Although mine is piloted by a member of the Techguard. I used Sentinels bitz, too, but I'd never have thought about resting the body onto Sentinel's legs. Nice idea...

hmm.. I think that legs need more armour plates. Conversion has smart idea and you did it excelently again. And paintjob gives pleasure for eyes too. Well done, mate!

Neato. I've been trying to figure out a way to make a cooler version of a sentinal for a while now with no sucess, I think I might just try getting a battlesuit and combining the two, or just giving up. No real point though, sentinals are worthless right now.

I think the back is the unused hip/torso connector of a standard sentinel (Plus flamer canister)

It kinda resembles an ED-209/Battletech battlemech cross to me.

Looks good.
