Back when I originally made the grots the Leman Russ was the most difficult tank to come up with a good conversion for. I want to convert everything so I tried to do a half track using a pair of shortened chimera tracks and a large pair of wheels and it failed.
The tracks turned out to be too long so I had no where to fit the wheels on, however they were just the right length to replace the leman russ tracks themselves.

In the end it worked out a lot better as it gave the tank a better feeling of bulk and I much prefer the shape of these tracks to the original.

At the moment I’ve just built the basic setup I’ll come back to do all the different turrets and sponsons at a later date. The sponsons will be the same as before; mounted on the track guards like turrets: [link]

Now it's a shame that my freind wont hand over his Russ. It's even unpainted! He doesn't like ever play anymore either.

Checking this and the other things you got, how did you manage to put up a Grot Army? Proxy-ing them for other units from the Codexs or is their an official Grot army?

Either way, I like the idea, very original and very cool.
